Remote Sensing

Experience in remote sensing includes

1) Vegetation mapping of the San Juan Mountains, Colorado region, applying supervised classification techniques to IRS-1B imagery. Field work included determining vegetation group training sites and determing post classification accuracy at selected sites.

2) Implementing the use of remote sensing in the search for gypsum in the western US, Sonora, and Baja. Satellite imagery included Thematic Mapper (TM), MSS, and SPOT. Areas that showed the greatest potential were further evaluated through the use of supervised and unsupervised classification techniques.

3) Geological and structural mapping over a large area of the White Pine County, Nevada as part of a regional geochemical exploration effort for precious metals.
