Summit Data Services LLC is a small consultancy with extensive experience in mining geology and exploration, GIS implementation, and custom field data software development.

The principal of Summit Data Services LLC, James Russell, has more than 30 years experience in the natural resource industry. He is a Registered Geologist in Wyoming and Utah.
Mr. Russell is a Certified Geological Scientist with the American Institute of Professional geologists (CPG), a registered geologist in utah and wyoming, a Certified GIS Professional with the GIS certification institute (GISP), and a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute. Mr. Russell is also member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration and is the current treasurer and past president of Colorado Section, american institute of professional geologists. He is also a past president of the Rocky Mountain Section of the Urban and information systems association.
His educational background includes a B.S. in Geology from Purdue University, an M.S. in Mineral Economics from Colorado School of Mines, and an MSc in GIS and Management from Manchester Metropolitan University, U.K.
